According to a Pennsylvania man, "alien" entities helped him win the lottery three different times by speaking to him through "electronic voice phenomena" (EVP) and visual patterns that he claims show up in spectrogram-generated pictures.

We'll have to believe the remainder of Gary Arnold's story, because the fact that he won the lottery at least twice is a verifiable fact, and possibly one of the few things in this narrative that is. He won $17,500 in the Pennsylvania Lottery's Pick 4 draw in 2022, and two years later he won an additional $27,500 playing the same game.

Arnold claimed that enigmatic entities instructed him to play the Powerball using numbers found in a spectrogram last year. The aliens were messing with him, which was a letdown since he only received a few hundred dollars and was two numbers short of the multimillion-dollar prize.

Contact is made by "The Intangibles."

When the creatures he refers to as "the Intangibles" first contacted Arnold in 2017, CBS 21 News described him as a professor at the University of Lincoln in Oxford Township—more on this later. He claims that he was in the university library when he heard a bizarre sound in his right ear.

Arnold tried to record the sound by holding a voice recorder-equipped cell phone up to his ear.

“Upon playback, I thought I was going to hear this maybe squelch or frequency because I couldn’t figure it out,” Arnold told CBS. “But instead, I hear a whisper, and the whisper says my name.”

Since then, Arnold has been talking with the monsters with passion. He posts recordings of these meetings on his own website since he knows that others may be skeptical of his assertions. He claims that "forensic specialists" have examined his voice and determined that it "was not made by human vocal cords."

At the time of publication, Casino.org had contacted the CIA for comment but had not heard back.

Spectrograms, which are visual representations of the sounds on Arnold's computer that turn into numbers, are typically used to convey lottery picks to him.

His pet pigeon, Sherbertz, was used by the creatures to transmit their message on one occasion. This channel was even stranger.

Arnold saw the beings talking lottery numbers through an EVP via the bird while watching a playback of a video he had taken of Sherbertz. the numbers? One, one, one, one. Arnold won the Pick 4 for the second time this time.

“You can’t make this stuff up!” he marveled, inaccurately.

Made-Up Information?

In relation to this, Casino.org has not been able to confirm that Arnold served as a professor at Lincoln in 2017 – or at any other time – because there are no public records connecting him to the university's faculty.

In addition, a piece from The Chester County Press published in 2020 features him sharing the same account of his initial experience with the voices, yet it does not reference any role as a professor or a library at a university.

UPDATE: A previous iteration of this article suggested that Arnold “claimed” to have been a professor at Lincoln. He has subsequently reached out to Casino.org to clarify that he has never occupied or stated that he occupied this role, although he did mention that he worked as a writing instructor there. He noted that CBS 21 mistakenly believed he was a professor during their discussion earlier this month. Lincoln’s Office of Communications & Public Relations forwarded our inquiry to the Human Resources Department, which had not replied by the time this update was issued.
